This story is hilarious, tender, tragic, and heartwarming. It makes for interesting reading to see how they overcome the obstacles they face and such was the case for Ethan the young shifter, and Miguel the 400 year old vampire. I absolutely adore this storytelling device and it worked amazingly here. Can't blame him tho after both the douches left him they were young, dumb, and immature. We got to see Charlie's life through his scrapbooking memories. This book is going on my permanent re-read list.
Strange things happen in life, and Charlie was looking at Scott and Adan, now partners, standing at his door. Miguel was so tender with Ethan, talked so sweetly to him, treated him with the utmost care, it was so unlike the way he was initially depicted. Fast-forward to college and Charlie meets the brooding, intense foul-mouthed Adan, who makes it perfectly clear this is just sex. They love him and he knows it. The publisher or author gave us the instruction to take down this book from our catalog. When he finds his young mate battered and bloody, he knows Tommy is going to need time to recover and come to terms with everything.
Readers are first introduced to a teenage Charlie and Scott. The characterizations and plot were not as intense as they usually are and it didn't feel as hot. Third, although I understand why some other reviewers thought there should have been more resistance or drama toward the end, I am glad there wasn't. But then the time comes to be open about their relationship, and Adan walks away instead. I just wish we'd gotten a followup to the ending of book 1 so we could see if Ethan and Miguel finally bypassed pack ignorance with the fabulous Zev leading as Alpha.
Now, another one is claiming to be his mate. Not too thin, not too plump, and a great shade of red. Out one evening he runs into some vampires, which is how he planned the evening, he went so far as to figure this would be the end of his short life, he was getting sicker and figured why not go out with a bang. Scott knew the kids through his sister, and the shock was unbelievable. I had never read Cardeno C before and wa. Charlie's photo album was very full, and he captured every big life happiness and sadness. I am not sure I liked it and it put me off a bit.
Mistakes are made, hearts broken, but one truth remained, and that was their love never died. I read the last 40% five times. But his dreams are dashed when Scott unexpectedly moves away. I was really interested in finding out how they met, but I think the storyline is lacking in this book. I have enjoyed all of narrations for this series. Ben is more than willing to give his mate anything he needs.
I just knew this should be some really nice 6 hours audiobook listening. This was my second listen by Charlie David and it was just as good as the first. In that first installment we had a quick interesting meeting with the main characters in this second novel that takes place before the first book. But Gecko has beefed up security since their last break in, and getting in with brute force is impossible. Put simply, Adan is a douchebag. Six years later, a car crash changed Carter's lifeIt tore Aaron from him and broke his little boy in ways they are still trying to heal two years later. Unexpected Mate is a 61,000 word novel with pregnancies galore, danger lurking in the shadows, and finding healing in those you love.
Ethan and Miguel make an appearance in book 1 and this is their story. This was a nice read, especially before the three men got together. Charlie was the centerpiece of this book, and as a narrator he was delightful. The first with Charlie and Scott was typical and happens all the time with 2 teenagers going off to college. When Victor finds his mate, he feels beyond betrayed that the man is working with his captors. The longer Eric stays, the harder it is to hide who he is and his connection to the captive omega, but if he is to save him, he must. Ethan, poor little guy, he never quite fit in with his pack, he was small and sickly and he couldn't shift.
Either way, this story appealed to me more. Years later, Charlie meets brash and confident Adan Navarro, who claims all he wants is a round between the sheets. He ends up in a pile of boxes at his feet. Charlie's hilarious commentary and Adan's snark made this book for me. If you read the first book: You'll remember that Ethan and Miguel were the small brown wolf and vampire who helped save Jona This book was so damn smexy, I may have needed a cold shower, or three. I still hated Adan, but I was able to push beyond that.
I dropped my hand from my neck and let out a sharp sigh of disappointment. Ethan and Miguel are an awesome couple. After eight months together, Charlie is convinced Adan returns his love. I was sure that 'More Than Everything' would be a winner too. Oh, well, the focus was the relationship, and that certainly wasn't lacking any. Miguel was a total badass, and Ethan was as sweet as pie. Comment: This book is in Acceptable Condition.
But Eric quickly finds a way to tell Victor he is there to help, and for the first time, Victor feels a sense of hope. All things that made him u Note to self download May 20th. I doubled up on the fake cough and added a dramatically hoarse voice to complete the picture. Years later, Charlie meets brash and confident Adan Navarro, who claims all he wants is a round between the sheets. This is a full bodied story you'll love, and I've only hinted at the shell. Basically the men did this incredibly complex thing while barely discussing it. I loved how Miguel connected with him and his protective nature wrapped itself around the young shifter.
