I'm not quite sure I ever bought that they were in love with each other until the very end, despite knowing that I was supposed to be believing it throughout the book. I've read all the books in this series and liked them, even loved some. And this was Jessie, not some random woman to fuck. It was an interesting start to the series.
They've had interesting and difficult lives but turned into pretty great people. A bit damaged from the past but not broken. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Hot to the Touch was most definitely Jackson and Becks' story, but I loved how much time was spent on the family. The only good pieces were where some of the older characters make appearances. And not just with Jackson and Becks. Jackson Donovan became a firefighter with his two brothers after they were rescued from a fire when they were little. When a firefighter ends up rescuing them one night, they finally find themselves adopted and in a happy home but Jackson still bears the scars of those early years.
I love a romance that has depth to it and this book had it all. It is an interesting dynamic for sure, and she certainly comes off as the nicer character! Even though Jackson didn't want to remember what happened then, I felt he was very comfortable around Becks, like they've known each other forever. Hot to the Touch is a fun and fast read. But I am interested in finding out more about you. Of course Jackson has packed his memories from his past away so he doesn't really remember Becks. Kal, Rafe and Jackson all grew up in an adoptive home. And this is Ellen and Karie.
You are scared of me. We have seen them throughout this series. Having said that, I will read any additional books in this series because I'm hooked! Jackson and his two brothers used to live on the street and one night after a house they were hiding in caught fire the firefighter who responded not only saved them from the fire but also from the streets. She's got the best things in her story - hot fireman, tattoos, I really loved this book! Big bad Jessie scares you. You should try having one, too.

Mick was already in her driveway when she got there. This is more of a story about finding love and wanting to be a better person to earn that love.
