An Awesome Concert In An Awesome Venue Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville What a night! They were great as always. The single reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 on April 14, 1979, remaining in that position for one week The song received Grammy Awards in 1980 for both Song of the Year and Record of the Year. This concert had many of my favorites performed and a few I had not heard that were really great! The venue was perfect for an intimate experience with the Doobies. My wife and I were transported thru time, riding that magical carpet of music created by these wonderfully gifted musicians. They could have signed a few autographs for us die hard Doobie fans! Most people around us were on their feet clapping and singing the whole time. . Really got the crowd involved. For a brief time this night in Huntsville with the Doobie Brothers I was a teenager again. I can never thank Pat, Tom, and John enough for keeping the music and my memories alive! A better light show and the background screen could show clips of their career.
